Hi,

you might have a look into the hplip pages on sourceforge. There
are many pages that are related to printersupport and installing
hp printers on Ubuntu and other distros.

If all else fails you could also download the latest hplip
version from there, since the ubuntu supplied version is rather
outdated.

Btw: The hplip forum (also accessible from there) is VERY helpful
with hp engineers quickly answering any hplip related questions.
