Hi all,
My DVD recorder says it will write CDs too. But I can't figure out
how to do it. I don't know if this is me, Ubuntu, or the DVD drive -
but I'd welcome any suggestions.
Details:
Ubuntu 6.06; Pioneer DVDR-111
I can write DVDs using growisofs.
Writing to a CD-R with growisofs doesn't work - it tells me that the
media isn't a DVD. Not really very surprising.
Writing to the CD with cdrecord doesn't work either, though.
Worryingly, it tells me that the DVD does not accept either TAO or DAO
modes.
Here's what happens:
/////
$cdrecord -v dev=ATAPI:0,0,0 test.iso

If I use the -dao option it does the same thing: "Drive does not
support SAO recording."
Look at the driver flags - no SAO or TAO flags!
Any help greatfully appreciated.
Andy.
