Where is the trash bin

It should be on your bottom panel, on the far right. You can always
right-click on something and select "move to trash".
If you do not have a desktop icon but would like one, you need to go
into the gnome configuration editor.
It is under Applications<System Tools<Configuration Editor. If you do
not see the config ed. under applications/system tools, you will have
to enable it with alacarte menu editor first.
Go to Applications<Accessories<Alacarte menu editor. Select System
tools and when the list comes up, check off Configuration editor.
Once you can get into configuration editor, select
Apps<Nautilus<Desktop. When the list on the right comes up. Check off
"trash icon visible". There is also the "home" , "computer", "volumes"
(This is the entry for hard drive icons. either partitions or usb
drives) and "Documents" (for the document icon to appear you first have
to go into your home folder and create a folder called "documents". Then
it will show up on your desktop if you checked it off)
