/opt is missing

Because Debian (and therefore Ubuntu for that matter) doesn't use /opt
for nothing. Some third party packages *might* install themselves
there. But "official" debian/ubuntu packages will not install anything
there:

dpkg --search "/opt/*"

will give you nothing.
