Has Ubuntu Replaced Windows on Your Box?

I'll be able to finally remove Windows once more is done to support VPN.
Our office uses a SonicWall VPN. I've managed to find some documents
that point to FreeSwan that appears to be quite old, but theoretically
supported Sonicwall. I think OpenSwan (from what I've read) is the next
alternative and I see a few available packages to that extent in the
repository, but honestly, I haven't a clue which packages to install and
how to set them up. Perhaps a future version of Ubuntu will include and
hopefully greatly expand the work done in Suse to make VPN connections
configurable through network-manager. Failing that, perhaps our office
will one day switch to a more "Linux friendly" VPN device. (I don't have
the option of purchasing a hardware VPN for "site to site" unfortunately
because of my Vonage Linksys Router so a software solution is my only
option right now.)
