and matt answered that version 7 is the default in edgy and should be
backported ;)

if you build 7.0 anyway, why not take the edgy packages and if they work
fine, notify the backports team so they can put them in the
dapper-backports repo, so users can install them without any extra
fiddling and have no essential system package replaced by a checkinstall
made one which potentially will break their upgradeability.
