Synaptic problem - "The package jedit needs to be reinstalled, but I can't find an archive for it"

Why did you not just add a listing for jedit, in your
/etc/apt/sources.list ?



Like this one 



## jEdit - Sourceforge.net

deb http://dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/jedit ./





then apt-get, and synaptic would have no error that there was no
listing for jedit



jEdit is a very cool app. , I use it with the 'lilypond music
typesetting suite' for editing music scores.
