Hi,
This is exactly what I use to easily install or get rid of
the fonts that came packaged with ubuntu.
Now, in order to very easily install or delete my very own
truetype fonts, mostly the ones I kept from my windows using
years, in KDE, I go to kcontrol/systemadmin/fontinstall (or
similar) and use either my userlogin to install just for me or
use the "root"-button there to install systemwide.
I would hope that there is an equivalent for gnome users, as
well.
regards
Eberhard
