kubundu freezes while starting Enterprise Volume Management System

hi all,

i am using Kubuntu 6.06 for the past 2months and it was working fine till
yesday, thanks to  kubuntu.
But today i faced a strange problem. my system is not booting properly, it
freezes or restarts  when trying to start "Enterprise Volume Management
System"

I tried to boot it in recoverymode but its showing the same problem.

can anyone help me to solve this out. is it due to any HW issues?? have
anyone faced it
