Qcad is a good piece of software, it does 2D drafting well with a good
interface. It is not an equivalent to AutoCAD, maybe to AutoCAD2000LT,
but QCAD is nowhere near a modern full install of AutoCAD.
One possible alternative I have found is BricsCAD, while it's a windows
app they support it in an environment with wine, they provide an RPM to
install if you're curious. I haven't been able to get the RPM to work
after running it through alien. Still, very promising and worth a look,
it also supports OpenDWG, a very important technology for anyone in the
industry who believes in avoiding vendor lock-in.
