Has Ubuntu Replaced Windows on Your Box?

Done w/ Windows for a while now.  In the beginning I used to navigate
between many distributions (ie:  what was included w/ different Linux
mags or downloaded from web) but now I basically use the Ubuntu/Xubuntu
family for workstations & servers.  After all this time, I'm still
trying to figure out if I like the GNOME side or the XCFE side...  The
big dealie was how well it worked on PC(s) I made into file servers. 
Taking cheap (older) PCs, decking them out, and adding RAID cards was
cheaper than adding NAS ($4k) servers...
