Synaptic problem - "The package jedit needs to be reinstalled, but I can't find an archive for it"

only thing of I can think of  is to  try *
sudo apt-get remove jedit*  
or*
sudo aptitude purge jedit* 
in the terminal sorry I cant help you anymore
