It's not available in the package management. That's why I won't 
use it.

That's really one thing which is very disappointing in Ubuntu - 
it's so hard to find interesting software in the package management.
Either you've got to find obscure sources which are to be added
to sources.list, or you've got to install a program omitting the
package management.

I guess, I'm just spoiled by all the comfort and choice Gentoo offers.
Hard to find a program, which is NOT in Portage (the package management).
