PCB cannot do "auto place selected element".

Hi guys,

I am using ubuntu dapper right now and I have a problem with the PCB.
The PCB will just terminated when I try to perform the "auto place
selected element" function. Does anyone has this experience too ?

The pcb version that I use is 20050609.

Please guide me. Thank you.
