Hi José,

> Do at the command line:
> $ sudo dpkg-reconfigure locales (to set the locales ok)

$ sudo dpkg-reconfigure locales
....
.....
.....
[ 130.5233248]<6> bite:events 0[5] exited with preempt-count 1

PC hung here.

Force-reset PC.

$ sudo init 3
$ sudo dpkg-reconfigure locales
....
.....
.....
universal time is now Mon Augu 7 01:31:45 UTC
Run 'tzconfig' if you wish to change it

$ sudo rm /tmp/.X0-lock
$ sudo startx

A bright screen started with mouse pointer on it which can be moved
around.
(I suppose it was KDE desktop but I haven't installed it)

Ctrl+Alt+F4
$ sudo shutdown -r now

Rebooted PC.

PC started as normal but X-window still could not be started with a
black screen hanging.

$ sudo init 3
$ sudo cat $HOME/.xsession-error
....
....
locale not supported by Xlib
cannot set local modifier.

Still the same warning.

Tks
