Is horizontal scrolling of microsoft mouse supported?

Hi, There,

I am using Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 6000. It works well (of
course) under Windows. But in ubuntu i have a few problems. The most
significant one is that I cannot make "horizontal scrolling" work.
"xev" has no response when i test them. Without these two shortcuts I
indeed feel inconvenient. After looking through some discussion
thread, I become unclear about whether the horizontal scrolling is
supported for Microsoft Mouse.

On the other hand, if there is anyone who also use microsoft mouse,
could you share with me your configuration file. I still cannot make
it comfortable enough yet.
