To people viewing from the Ubuntu forums

I have noticed an increase lately in the number of replies to messages 
in the Ubuntu-users area which state that this or that problem does not 
fit in this area of the web forums. 

Please note that if you are reading the contents of the 'Ubuntu-Users 
Mailing List' portion of the forums, you are reading and replying to the 
email list, and not another area of the web forums.  Thus, all issues 
brought up here do belong here.  If there is a forum thread that you 
feel is relevant to the topic at hand, please feel free to post a link 
to the thread in question.  Please do not try to moderate the content of 
the list to other areas of the forums, as many of those who read and 
reply to the list never visit the forums unless a useful thread is 
linked to.

I would appreciate if a mod could sticky this thread in the web forums, 
as the way that email threads and web forums work is different enough 
that the email list's means of self moderation will not work with forum 
poster moderation, and vice versa.
