Text console too large

Hi all,



After installing Dapper (Ubuntu 6.06), it turns out that the system
console (ctrl-alt-f1) is larger than the screen.

This causes the first line and the last line to be invisible. The
second and before last line are partly visible. 

Auto adjust had no effect.



My monitor is a Belinea LCD 10 17 11.



Anyone know what the problem might be or how I could attack finding the
problem?
