Help!
I can't Apt-anything anymore. I can't understand what went wrong, I
think my dpkg-application-database has been corrupt or something. When
I try apt-get upgrading, or installing it shows hundreds of dependency
problems (view here: http://entropyone.com/apt-errors.txt). It
suggests that I add the -f switch at the end, but all that does is
give me the following error:
Preconfiguring packages ...
(Reading database ... 22671 files and directories currently installed.)
Unpacking libc6 (from .../libc6_2.3.6-0ubuntu20_i386.deb) ...
dpkg not recorded as installed, cannot check for epoch support !
dpkg: error processing
/var/cache/apt/archives/libc6_2.3.6-0ubuntu20_i386.deb (--unpack):
subprocess pre-installation script returned error exit status 1
Errors were encountered while processing:
/var/cache/apt/archives/libc6_2.3.6-0ubuntu20_i386.deb
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
Help please! I can't get updates or install anything. I tried to do a
'dpkg -i libc6_2.3.6-0ubuntu20_i386.deb' but it didn't help.
