fresh install

i am about to do a fresh install of ubuntu on my laptop it is a older one 
but i have had windows on it and i tried the live cd and all i can say is 
wow what a difference in performance ubuntu is faster and better  than i 
had thought, the one thing i like about ubuntu is that it around the better 
of the ones that i have tried and used, and i have used alot.  the only 
problem that i have found is the repos  for new zealand(where i am) wasn't 
there and had to do a custom sources.list but that was no biggie.
