Evolution archiving.

Is there an automated way to archive messages older than a certain span
in Evolution so I don't wind up backing up literally gigabytes of email
every differential or incremental backup? I'd like to be able to
archive all messages over six months in age, say, into a separate
location and do that once a month (in sync with my full backups) so that
my daily differentials don't amount to an extra two gigabytes each time.
