breezy - dapper upgrade broke wireless

with a travelmate 634LC I seem to have the same problem. More
specifically, the computer hangs on the hardware configuration step.
After Ctrl^C-in it continues and finds my wireless card (an ancient
pcmcia orinoco). 



The messages in the kernellog are as shown by others. Connecting to an
open access point also works. However, I cannot seem to set the
encryption. Here's the output:
