Not .deb packages, but the binaries for linux at
http://v2v.cc/~j/ffmpeg2theora/download.html
work fine. From memory, you just untar the package and run the binary,
which is called "ffmpeg2theora-0.16.linux.bin" (mine is an earlier version
- I will update it I think.. )
I put mine in /usr/local/bin/ made it executable, and made a symlink to
ffmpeg2theora in the same dir ( but that isn't necessary - tab completion
will work anyway to run it ).
