Ubuntu vs Ubuntu64

Dear Friends,

I have AMD Sempron 2500, DDR 1 Gb. I had try both, Ubuntu and
Ubuntu64, but I didn't feel any difference. Could somebody tell me
when 64 bit processor run better than 32 bit? all looks same,
meanwhile when I use Ubuntu64 Flash plugins for mozilla didn't work at
all, according to wiki.ubuntu mozilla need '64-to-32bit apdapter'.
Could anybody tell me what makes 64bit processor so special???
