Dapper upgrade fails

Have exactly the same problem, same log. Have some other weird issues
like if i try to run "cp" it says: cannot execute binary file.

Trying to fix it, i saw that i don't have /dev/input/mice. Disabling
that entry on xorg and only running synaptics i can get in and login on
gdm, but after that, it shows me a terminal windows and say somthing
like "terminal has a problem....", and then it returns to login window.

The log is exactly the same. I'm looking to fix it, i'll post a
solution once i have one.
