upgrade or clean installation?

I have a Dapper Beta machine I expect to do a complete reinstall on
for two-ish reasons:

 - I want to see the current installer.

 - I will be changing how I format the disks.  Last time around I
   couldn't figure out how the LVM on top of software RAID 1 worked.
   I am hoping this time I will be smarter and the installer will be
   clearer.
