Hi,
I'm having a problem here and need assitance.
My system is an Acer Aspire 3002LCi and I manage to make everything work
with Dapper Drake. Wireless is using ndiswrapper because the broadcom does
not work well on this system. It worked just one time and after some retries
I switch to ndiswrapper and used it for the entire week.
Today I changed it's memory, from 512MB to 2GB. What I did:
- Booted Ubuntu Dapper Drake and did an update (April 22)
- Rebooted and checked if everything was working fine (ok)
- Removed the old memories and installed the new ones
- Booted into memtest86 and did a successfuly memtest entire pass.
- Booted Dapper Drake
It stopped at "Loading ACPI Modules".
What I did since them:
1 - Redid the ACPI DSDT.aml and inittd image. (did not work)
2 - chmod -x /etc/init.d/acpid
Now the acpi is disabled and wireless stopped working, but I think it's
mandatory to have the ACPI working.
If I give executable permissions for the acpid script and run it with
"start", it hangs at "Loading Modules"
Finally, my BIOS is 3A27, the last update from Acer.
Any suggestions?
Regards,
Guilherme
