breezy -> dapper, some issues

Welcome to Dapper.  To the best of my knowledge, there is no going back.
Make sure you only have Dapper sources listed.  Do an 'apt-get update'
and an 'apt-get upgrade'.  Is everything up to date and happy?  Maybe
do an "apt-get install ubuntu-base ubuntu-desktop' just to be sure
those are met as well.  You may have to remove and reinstall you USB
subsystem stuff.  Did you check your 'dmesg' to see if the drive is
even detected.  It makes it easier to troubleshoot if you at least know
what isn't doing what it's supposed to.
