Second monitor not displaying as clone

Earlier I reported that I got my second monitor working as a 
clone of my laptop display. I did this by installing i810switch.

Later I had to reboot the computer. When it came up again, the 
second monitor was again showing no signal.

Did I miss a step, such as putting something in a startup file or 
some such?

Thanks for any clues you can give me. I need all I can get, as I 
am still effectively clueless on this stuff. ;-)
