I've had no luck with NFS but for ssh You have to install ssh on your Ubuntu system first. I got it working last night. in the terminal type: apt-get install ssh openssh-server see: http://www.howtoforge.com/perfect_setup_ubuntu_5.10_p3 -- Boondoggle
