I've got the same exact problem. I had to downgrade from fontconfig 2.3.2-1.1ubuntu8 (dapper) to 2.3.2-1ubuntu4 (breezy) to get everything nice again. Thanks for writing this topic :) BTW: shouldn't we submit a bug in Ubuntu bugtracker ? Has anyone already submitted it ? -- frm
