Did you install the streamripper package ? Streamtuner uses it to "rip"
streams.

Also note that by default in "Edit-Preferences" for streamtuner,
streamripper is configured to use xterm ( at least I assume that's the
default as I don't remember changing it)

xterm -e streamripper %q   etc ... ( I have added -r -d music at the end to
direct it to dump rips in my music directory, so your config may be
slightly different) 

I assume you can substitute konsole here if that's what you prefer to use.
