Cannot mount external hard disk after kernel compile

Today i installed a new USB 2.0 PCI card. My kernel is 2.16.4 from 
kernel.org. The problem is that i can't see any /dev/sdx devices so i can
mount them. I have enabled scsi emulation in the kernel. As i can see 
the PCI card is recognized by the kernel and  even  the USB device is 
recognized.
When i boot with the ubuntu kernel it works fine. Here are my outputs:

The external device is an ICY BOX case where i installed one Western 
Digital IDE hard disk.

What can i do to get /dev/sd handles?
