Root password???

Yes, I read the wiki on the RootSudo. This is from the first line:
"By default, the password for root is locked in Ubuntu. This means you
cannot login as root or use su. Instead, the installer will setup sudo
to allow the user that is created during install to run all
administrative commands."

"Secret" is your term. The root account is locked on install, therefor
hidden to the user, unavailable, but you can unlock it by giving it a
new password. I think we're arguing semantics here. I say "hidden", or
"locked" you say secret. You say, or Dick did, that there is no root
password, and again, that is not the case. The wiki does not say there
is no root password as Dick claims. It says "...the password for root
is locked in Ubuntu." "By default...", means at setup
