It was discussed on this list a few days ago.  Pre-seeding is very 
powerful.  ISTR there is a page relating to pre-seeding Ubuntu on the 
web, possibly as part of the install guide, which I assume you have read 
(I haven't, hence my starting the thread a few days ago) ;).

There is /definitely/ a page or three dedicated to pre-seeding the 
Debian installer in the d-i guide, which may be on alioth, I don't remember.

I'd be interested to know how you get on.
