Revelation Installed or Not?

I forgot what -exactly- was the problem originally, so please forgive
and correct me if I ask questions that don't help.

Do you mean that the only file -at-all- that you find is the revelation
desktop file? What does the output of dpkg -L revelation say, and can
you find the files listed by the command?
