dapper installer can't see partitions on HD

Hi,

My IBM notebook has windows already and previously I installed ubuntu
5.10 and enjoy dual boot. Today I burnt dapper flight (latest) and
tried to install. But when I come to partitioning step, the installer
only show the whole device of my 60GB HD without its partitions. I am
trapped there and of course I can't format the whole disk.

Also partitionmagic 8.0 under MS Windows refuses to run because of
error 117 - "Partition's drive letter cannot be identified". I am not
sure if this is related.
