Interesting. I wasn't aware of that.  I always got the impression that
synaptic didn't call any of the command line front-ends. Guess I was
wrong.

BTW, how is kpackage compared to aptitude these days?  Last I used it (I
think back with KDE 2 or something), I didn't like it much, although I
can't really remember why I didn't like it right now.
