No need to log out to access text sessions. Use ctrl-alt-F1 (or F2, or
F3 ...) to acccess terminal 1, 2 , 3 , ...
Also ctrl, alt, backspace is the X magic key to kill the x session.
Application won't have a chance to do a clean exit, they will be killed
the hard way. I won't recommend using it to logoff an X session.
