You'll note that every C/C++ application has a dependency on glibc
(libc6 on most architectures), because it's a VERSIONED dependency.

In k3b's case, that dependency is "libc6 (>= 2.3.4-1)", which tells us
that it won't work with the version of glibc in warty or hoary, but will
work with the glibc in breezy and dapper (and apt and dpkg will DTRT
because of this)
