Hmmm... your bug report is not very good (is it the first one you
submit ??). It's not very informative nor accurate.

A better subject line would be:

"[Dapper] H/W regression: SATA drives not detected anymore"

Then in the body of the message, give more information about your
drives, what model are they exactly: what brand, what model, what size.
Then give more details about what happens exactly when you try to
install Ubuntu: does the installer not list your drives at all ?
If you boot from a Dapper live CD, does it see you drives ?

The better your bug report, the more chances it has to be looked into...
