problem with c/c++ compiler

Sorry I forgot: gcc version 4.0.3 (Ubuntu 4.0.3-1ubuntu3)
but, the first 'cc1' message was displayed using 'gcc
4.1.0'!?
I just check the /etc/alternatives, but I could not find
anything what could be related to
/usr/local/include/i486-gnu.
