Sorry, should have quoted the results of trying to use zenity with the
--display option;

neil at ubuntu:~ $ zenity --warning --text="Only me pal" --display=:20
Xlib: connection to ":20.0" refused by server
Xlib: No protocol specified

I doing something wrong here.  (I do have test user logged in on my system
on display :20)
