Root password???

I actually discovered a situation that sudo didn't seem to be able to
cope with, recently. I changed my computer's hostname, and whenever I
tried to sudo, it was going on about how it couldn't resolve the
address... and of course, that included bringing the network interface
down, &c.

Needless to say, I was glad that I'd enabled the root account on my
first day ;). su still worked...

(Oh, alright, so a reboot would have solved the problem just as well.
