"Subversion" : how to make it use nano instead of vi for commits ?

Hi,

I am using subversion/svn. Under Breezy, when I do a "svn commit", it
would start the "nano" text editor for me to type the change log.
But now I am on Dapper, and this time it uses "vi" instead of nano.

How can I do to ask subversion to use nano again ?

I tried setting the "EDITOR" environnement variable, but it didn't do
the trick sadly, so I guess svn is not looking at this variable.
