You might want to have a look at (/etc/X11/xorg.conf):
Section "Monitor"
        Identifier      "Standardbildschirm"
        Option          "DPMS"
        HorizSync       30-95
        VertRefresh     50-160
        #   DisplaySize 270 203 # 1024x768 96dpi
        DisplaySize     338 270 # 1280x1024 96dpi
EndSection

With "DisplaySize" you get the same font sizes in kde and in gnome
(search the forums for details on it)

An other possibility would be to install:
$ apt-cache search qt | grep gtk
gtk2-engines-gtk-qt - Makes your GTK 2 apps look like Qt ones
