Transparent windows?

It's possibly in breezy to do it by enabling the composite extension and
installing (and running) xcompmgr and transset.

It's neither easy nor integrated, but it works (for making screenshots).

On Dapper, you can get the wobbly windows and such using xgl and compiz.
It's not too hard to set up if you don't mind editing configuration
files.
