Dapper Drake - Power Manager error when logging in via FreeNX

Hello good people.


I have set up a server running Dapper Drake, with the NX server
software from Nomachine.  I am connecting to the server from
both Ubuntu Dapper workstations and Win XP workstations, using
the FreeNX client.  Everything is installed as described in [1].

When I log in at the console everything works flawlessly.
When I log in with the FreeNX client I get this error message:

Power Manager
This program cannot start until you start the dbus session service.
This is usually started automatically in X or gnome startup when
you start a new session.
You can launch the session dbus-daemon manually with this command:
eval `dbus-launch --auto-syntax`


Even if the error message tells me how to start the daemon manually
I assume I'll get the same error after the next reboot.
The entire errror is a bit puzzling.  I have another server in another
location, and that other server does not give this error message.

How serious is this problem?  And...
What should I do to remedy the problem?
