I tried it and couldn't backup to CD-RW. I found at their web page
http://sbackup.sourceforge.net/SBackupRoadmap
that backups to optical disks are not yet supported (planned in the
future). The user interface needs further work in my opinion (there's
already a lot of thought put into it), but the tool indeed looks
promising and seems to be in active developement.
