Nero CD/DVD burner equivalent for ubuntu?

Yes I know k3b doesn't live up to all expectations, but I'm afraid I've 
never seen anything better either. Again, for me, problems are caused 
mainly if I choose to format DVDs in sequential mode (nautilus can't 
handle this) and if I try to verify written data (there's a checkbox but 
it has never worked, causing a note on burn failiure). Nero works 
better, yes, but I'm too stubborn to take to Windows for help =).
